Analysis of Performance Indicators of LED Display Screen


Led Display has been developing rapidly in the world since the 1980s, and its performance indicators have been gradually improved and improved. At present, the performance indicators of all aspects of LED display have reached a new level. Performance indicators are more responsive to user needs.11
Key performance indicators of LED display:
1. Maximum output current: At present, the maximum output current of the mainstream constant current source LED driver chips is about 90 mA per channel. It is more meaningful for the display screen to output the maximum constant current at the same time in each channel, because in the white balance state, it is required that each channel output the constant current at the same time.
2. Number of Constant Current Output Channels: Constant Current Source Output Channels have 8-bit and 16-bit specifications. Now 16-bit occupies the mainstream. Its main advantage lies in reducing chip size, facilitating the wiring of the LED driver board (PCB), especially for the LED driver board with smaller point spacing.
3. Accurate current output: one is the current error between the same chip channels; the other is the output current error between different chips. Accurate current output is a key parameter, which has great influence on the display uniformity of LED display. The larger the error is, the worse the display uniformity is, and it is difficult to achieve white balance of the screen. At present, the bit to bit current error of mainstream constant current source chips is generally less than (+3%) and the chip to chip current error is less than (+6%).
4. Data shift clock: It determines the transmission speed of display data, and is the key index affecting the update rate of LED Display Screen. As a large size display device, display refresh rate should be above 85Hz to ensure a stable picture (no scanning flicker). High data shift clock is the basis of high refresh rate screen acquisition. At present, the shift clock frequency of the mainstream constant current source driver chips is generally above 15MHz to 25MHz.
The greatest advantage of LED display is that it can be manufactured without the limitation of area, and can reach tens or even hundreds of square meters. It can be used to display text, graphics, images, animation, video and other information in indoor and outdoor public places. With the improvement of various performance indicators of LED display, the application of LED display will be realized. More widely distributed, the function will be more powerful.
